Xiaomi has confirmed that they are bringing the Redmi Note phablet to Malaysia, and they are offering the interested Malaysians, or those residing in Malaysia to guess the price.
Since the Redmi Note is already available in China, we can easily share the specifications for you here. In case you are wondering, the Redmi Note is expected to be cheaper than the highly popular Mi 3 as it has lower specifications than the flagship phone of Xioami.
Two processors are used for the Redmi Note for options with one boasting of an 8-Core MTK 6592 1.4GHz processor, and another with an 8-Core MTK 6592 1.4GHz processor 1.7GHz with 2GB RAM. For Malaysia, it looks like the Redmi Note will be the later version with bigger RAM.
Both versions will vary in pricing but will share similar other hardware specifications such as owning a massive 5.5″ HD IPS display and 3,200 mAh lithium-polymer battery. It has a 13 megapixel rear facing camera and an impressive 5MP front facing camera. The phablet is dual-SIM ready.
For those wanting to try their luck, Xiaomi’s Facebook page has released a teaser by asking those interested to guess the retail price of the Redmi Note. If you guessed it correctly, you would win an ‘F-code’ they say.
We are not sure what the ‘F-code’ means, but our best bet is that it is a cheeky way to say ‘Free’. (We stand corrected, so don’t sue us if the ‘F’ stands for ‘Funny’. We managed to figure out what the F-Code means. It’s actually a code which allows you to skip the line when you purchase an item online. The price of the item remains the same.

The official pricing of the phablet is expected to be revealed on 25th June.
