The Chinese tech giants are making a beeline for Malaysia, and Xiaomi is the latest to join the fray with their best smartphone in its line, the Mi 3 now made available in Malaysia.

Those interested to get their hands on the smartphone can do so through Malaysia’s three major telcos, namely Maxis, Digi and Celcom.

Despite the grand introduction among tech enthusiast today, Xiaomi declined to reveal the actual price of the Mi 3, and instead said that all three telcos will reveal their pricing individually.

Digi has already announced their intention to sell the Xiaomi Mi 3 by giving teasers for this 5.0-inch screen smartphone, as we anticipate both Maxis and Celcom to top their offer with great deals days later.

Aside from the Mi 3, Xiaomi also announced plans to bring in another smartphone called the Redmi 1S in June. The Redmi 1S is a 4.7-inch display smartphone powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM. It also has an 8GB of eMMC internal storage and supports a MicroSD card of up to 32GB.

The pricing for the Redmi S1 is expected to match its China market price which was around RM413 (CNY799).
