The much anticipated Webe mobile services by Telekom Malaysia (TM) has been rolled out in Kuching, but it is still not usable just yet.
According to our sources, the new telco has had their infrastructure in Kuching tested, but they are looking at ensuring everything works well when they officially launch the services here.
The new telco would be using the 850Mhz spectrum for its 4G network, similar to what TM is using for TMgo.
Webe’s is currently available to selected customers in West Malaysia, and is expected to expand its presence to East Malaysia, and the rest of the public soon.
Rates provided by Webe are lower than their competitors, and they are expected to further intensify the price war ongoing among mobile telcos in Malaysia.
