As the “Season Of Love” is approaching, TVB grandly produced cross-boundary Valentine’s specials. It will bring audiences to different regions unprecedentedly with partnerships of a number of TV broadcasters or production units in Japan (Yoshimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd / Media Asia Group Holdings Limited), Korea (KBSN), Singapore (StarHub) and Malaysia (Astro) for the first time.
With the theme of A Time Of Love, four hourly music movies containing unique features with top-notch artistes from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Malaysia.
TVB had organised a grand international press conference at TVB City in Hong Kong on 22 January with casts and executives from various TV broadcasters, attracting a multitude of global media during the occasion!
With the blend of brilliant actors in the regions, production crew arrived at Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur for shooting. TVB artistes Charmaine Sheh, Kenneth Ma, Linda Chung, Kate Tsui, Wong Cho Lam, Ben Wong and Luk Wing; Taiwan artiste James Wen; Korea artiste Yeon Jung Hoon, Reina Ikehata from Japan and Malaysia artiste Chris Tong attended the global premiere at TVB City.
The premiere started at 2:15p.m.. Artistes and executives walked along the red carpet to the venue. The hosts Heidi Chu and Luk Ho Ming invited Mr S K Cheong, General Manager of TVB and executives of production partners including Dr Lam Kin Ngok, Peter, Chairman of Media Asia Group Holdings Limited; Mr Kim Choon-Kil, Vice President of KBSN; Ms Hew Su Yen, Head of Sales, Chinese Channels (TVB) Media Sales of Astro and Ms Lee Soo Hui, Head of Media Business Unit of StarHub to officiate the movie premiere ceremony on stage.
Mr Peter Au, Assistant General Manager of TVB, delivered welcoming remark and expressed appreciations to various production units and artistes for the grand TVB music movies. After that, movies and theme song premiere were shown.
The Malaysia episode by Kate Tsui and James Wen would be the first to broadcast. Though it was the first time to cooperate, their professional acting bought about successful shooting and they both looked forward to next cooperation. They would enter the bitter love triangle with Chris Wang in the movie.
Led by Charmaine Sheh, Kenneth Ma, Luk Wing and Chris Tong, Singapore episode contained various elements and the brand new cast must be fresh to audiences. Charmaine Sheh would perform the superior of Kenneth Ma. Misunderstandings would arise when they were on the way to a wedding banquet.
Speaking different languages, Linda Chung and Yeon Jung Hoon overcome language barrier and led audiences to appreciate spectacular views in Korea. Linda Chung mentioned Yeon Jung Hoon possessed features of handsome Korean whose eyes were attractive to her. Yeon Jung Hoon also replied with humour praising Hong Kong girls in Cantonese.
Japan episode was led by comedian Wong Cho lam, Ben Wong and Reina Ikehata, starring the young period of leading actress Watanabe Naomi. Wong Cho Lam appreciated tasty Japanese meal box, which gave him unforgettable memory. Ben Wong expressed most of his dialogue was in Japanese, posing great challenge to his acting. Speaking fluent Mandarin, Reina Ikehata mentioned Hong Kong artistes had helped her a lot during shooting and it bought great memory to her.
After the artistes sharing session, all artistes and executives gathered on stage for toasting and hoped the A Time Of Love music movie would earn good ratings!
The cross-boundary love music movies will broadcast at on four consecutive Sundays starting from 26 January (Hong Kong Time) at 8 p.m. on TVB Jade and Jade HD. The movies will also broadcast in the Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.
