The Sarawak Worker’s Party (SWP) led by Larry Sng is expected to add yet another assemblyman after Meluan representative Wong Judat told a local daily that he will be joining SWP to contest against Barisan Nasional in the coming parliamentary elections.

According to the report, Wong has already finalized his decision and is set to quit his current party SPDP in the near future, and that he is set to stand against current Information, Communications and Culture Deputy Minister Datuk Joseph Salang whom is said to be renominated to defend his Julau seat under Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS).

Wong’s decision to quit SPDP leave Tan Sri William Mawan as the sole Dewan Undangan Negeri member in the party.
