KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced that the cabinest has agreed to do a review of the Public Service New Remuneration Scheme (SBPA) to resolved issues pertaining to the new scheme which was brought up by some quarters.

However, the review will not effect the implementation date of the new scheme which would remain at January 1st 2012. The prime minister said the review will not cover the decision to extend the civil service retirement age to 60 which would see implementation January 1st 2012.

The new scheme will see civil servants enjoy better income, although this does come with the introduction of more more stringent exit policy from the service.
