A police officer from the Crime Unit of the Nusajaya District Police Department was shot by a man four times after he was alleged to have jeered the man for supporting the loosing Italian side.

According to local papers, Snilus Lembik, 24 from Salim, Sibu, Sarawak was shot in the stomach with a Walther P99 which he carried. The assailant was said to be drunk, and Snilus is said to be in critical condition.

The incident was said to have happened in an entertainment outlet at Nusa Bestari in Johor.

Police confirmed they have apprehended the suspect, and the case is being investigated.
