The Crocs are gunning for their third win in the span of two weeks when they take on PBDKT T-Team at home tonight.
Definitely buoyant after two impressive wins both away and at home, the Crocs is expected to feature a similar line-up when they take on the younger brother of Terengganu FA.
The reward for winning this game is the precious three points gap which will not only secure the winners a better spot away from the dangerous drop zone, but also give them some hope of actually finishing in the top five of the Malaysia Super League (MSL). The looser on the other hand stands to be eliminated next season when the Malaysia Super League (MSL) is expected to shrink in number.
Sarawak ex-World Cup Playet Joel Epalle is still struggling with a hamstring injury, but he is widely expected to start after contributing much to the winning ways of the Crocs. Partnering him would be either K Rajan or local striker Zamri Morshidi although coach Robert Alberts will be tempted to stick to his tactics which saw him start with K. Rajan.
In midfield, Sarawak will be banking on Guy Bwele to pull on an Andreas Iniesta for Sarawak, but the likes of Sharol Saperi, Azizan Saperi and Mohd Azizan are as dangerous when on top form.
The Sarawak back line seems to be back rock solid with the return of captain Hairol Mokhtar, but nippy Dzulazlan Ibrahim has somewhat proven his size does not matter when it comes to producing rock solid defending. Aside from the duo, Yosri Derma Raju, Mazwandi Zakeria and Shahran Samad have also proved their capabilities, making Alberts choice for the back four a serious headache.
Yunus Alif will be anxious to take on Sarawak as his charges are keen to change their fortunes after a 1-0 defeat to Felda United last weekend.
Midfielder Zairo Anuar will be Alif’s secret weapon as the midfielder now leads the scoring charts in his team. Striker Mohd Faiz Subri will also be another threat to the Sarawak defence, and one can bet that Alif will use every tactical knowledge he has to stage an upset at the Sarawak State Stadium.
WIth both teams needing a win to stay in the MSL, this game is expected to be exciting and fast paced. However, Sarawak has shown better consistency lately, and is expected to triumph.
Prediction: Sarawak 3-0 PBDKT T-Team
