Do not dub Sarawak a “lawless, cowboy state” based on three shooting deaths reported over the past seven months this year.
The call comes from none Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
“Do not conclude that just because such cases had occurred in a spate of seven months, the state is unsafe,” he told reporters after a walkabout programme at a Ramadan bazaar in the Miri closed-stadium here today.
On July 31, the police formed a special task force to investigate the three killings before submitting a report within a fortnight.
The commissioner also revealed that the police investigations have revealed that the three murders are isolated cases and not related due to separate motives.
