The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has denied claims that Malay radical group PERKASA has a branch in Sarawak.

According to a reported by The Borneo Post, the ROS of Sarawak said that “As per as our record in ROS Sarawak, PERKASA has no branches in Sarawak”.

The response comes after PERKASA secretary Syed Hassan Syed Ali claimed that PERKASA was already in Sarawak, and has around 3,000 members.

The news which came to light a few weeks ago was not welcomed by Sarawakians, with many asking the Malay radical group to stay away from the state.
