Taking queue from the success of its predecessor RED (Retired extremely dangerous) features action hero Bruce Willis as a retired CIA agent named Frank, already enjoying his retired boring life.
The story continues with the retired – and more dangerous than anybody else – agents. Frank and his comrades find themselves treading all over the globe and finding conflict at each stop.
If you haven’t seen the first film, you can still enjoy this piece. You won’t understand all of the relationships immediately, but the story stands on its own. And it does a very good job at that.
The movie was also fun to watch with clever and well-thought out jokes throughout the film all skillfully timed to perfection.
As far as action was concerned, it was thrilling with a lot more hand-to-hand combat, which was very amusing to watch and excellently choreographed. – Of course you had those regular explosions here and there which were simply cool.
With a huge list of A list starts in the movie, the acting was almost flawless and the story was well-written to the extend you’d not expect a twist.
A movie which indeed exceeded expectations, and stands out because it’s almost perfect.
