For those of you already eyeing the Redmi Note 3, the good news on the pricing has been revealed, or rather leaked to the internet.
Based on the information, the Redmi Note 3 which will be brought in to Malaysia would be powered by the Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor, and users will get to buy the 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable (up to 32GB via microSD) storage phone for RM849.
This means that the smartphone would not be a direct replacement of the Redmi Note 2, which Xiaomi Malaysia claims would be still available despite the release of its successor.
Other specifications of the Redmi Note 3 will nonetheless remain the same as mentioned in our general review here.
According to the source of the leak, Xiaomi Malaysia will only bring in one version to Malaysia, and that the leak was obtained during a dinner with possible retailers of Xiaomi.
It was further understood that Xiaomi is looking at selling the phone in retails shops as well as they have reached market saturation online. The price online and in retails shops is expected to be the same.
But regardless, if the the Redmi Note 3 is sold at RM849, would you still consider buying it? We most certainly think it’s still a worthy buy, but do you?
