Anticipation on the Apple iPad 3 is growing and scammers are taking full advantage of it.

Reports reveal that scammers will email or contact ‘lucky customers’ by saying that they have won the chance to win the new Apple iPad 3. They will then request for some personal information which is said to be used to determine the winner of the prize.

According to Symantec’s Security Response official blog, the goal of the whole process is to obtain information.

Those whom have received such emails, or has been contacted by any such person claiming to offer something similar should refrain from giving any personal information.

The Apple iPad 3 is expected to be released soon, but no specific date has been quoted.
