RM79 million worth of properties were sold during the 2013 Property Investment and Home Expo (PIHex) held last weekend at the Promenade Hotel. This was immensely encouraging as the Expo only hit RM31 million in 2012.
PIHex Tawau showcased vibrant property developments in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia attracted over 1,500 visitors. It featured various property projects ranging from high end to affordable including residential condominiums, commercial shop lots, commercial retail outlets, hotel residences and suites, bungalows, plus terrace and semi-detached houses.
The top sellers during the Expo are Hap Seng Properties and IOI Properties. Kimis Development took home the Outstanding Booth Design Award for their Beaufort Square project, Bukit Kiara Properties gained the Outstanding Scale Model Award for their Verve Suite and Hillsta by Far East Organisation won the Outstanding Brochure Design Award.
Besides getting to know the different exhibitors, property buyers stood a chance to win a Volkswagen Polo Sedan worth more than RM100,000 or two all inclusive return tickets to Melbourne, sponsored by Royal Brunei Airlines. Registered visitors were also given a chance to win a unit of the ACER Iconia A1-801. The winners will be announced on www.pihex.com.
According to the Director of Maxx Media, Elson Kho, “Tawau has again proven her strong interest in property by breaking our on-day sales record! It is indeed very encouraging to witness RM79 million sales, which is more than double as compared to 2012’s result. We are very thankful for the support of our exhibitors in making this the biggest property exhibition in Tawau. We will definitely come back to Tawau again next year, bringing more property investment choices to the local buyers.”
He added: “This will be our final edition of PIHex. We have decided to change the name of our exhibition from PIHex (Property Investment & Home Expo) to PH Expo (Property Hunter Expo), in line with our effort to consolidate the brand of our products. From now onwards, all property related products under our company will be called Property Hunter, which consists of a monthly magazine, an expo and a comprehensive web portal, propertyhunter.com.my which is due to launch in August. We have decided to carry out such rebranding to make it easier for the public to remember and recall, and also to maintain the quality and consistency of our products. Our upcoming PH Expo is scheduled to be held in Miri in October and Lahad Datu in November.”
PIHex is a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) event that aims to bring investors and home buyers to property developers with the ever growing demand in premium property. It will highlight developers and projects for investors and buyers in Kota Kinabalu, and other parts of Sabah as well.
