Malaysia’s second national car, Perodua has got the approval to carry on with their Sedan car project, signalling the possible entry of the car maker into the segment for the first time.

According to motor blog, Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid revealed some details regarding the upcoming Perodua sedan – known with the codenamed D63D, at the ongoing Myvi 10th Anniversary drive event.

The sedan in currently at the prototype stage and Perodua is said be already evaluating the engine, platform and transmission.

The car is expected to enter the market before 2019, with Perodua targetting a five-star NCAP safety rating with the sedan.
