iflix today announced the launch of its revolutionary new service in Malaysia, and more details have been released about its subscription fees.
Previously, it was mentioned by us that iflix would cost RM8 per month, but it seems that such rate would only apply to those taking up annual subscriptions, in which they would have to pay RM96/year.
For those wanting a month-to-month subscription, they would have to pay a little higher a month, which is RM10.
As previously mentioned, subscriptions will entitle users to unlimited access to iflix’s vast library of over 10,000 hours of top quality Western, Asian and Local content, access to iflix on up to 5 devices of their choice, whether phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, connected TV or other connected device, and share an iflix subscription and simultaneously watch different content on two different devices at the same time for each subscription.
Subscriptions come with no strings attached, no hidden catches and no contracts. Interestingly also, cancellation of your account can be done online as well.
Consumers can, from today, sign up for a 14-day trial granting full access to all of iflix’s world class features and content without having to submit credit card or payment details to participate.
But if you are thinking of letting go your cable TV just yet, think again. iflix at this moment only streams pre-recorded shows, and so far does not stream any live shows just yet.
