Xiaomi may not have officially updated its cutomers here in Malaysia, but we have noticed that the Mi 3 now has a new version, ready for download.

The 449MB something update is long overdue since Mi 3 runs on the older Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version.

This new update as Lowyat.net said, is an upgrade to the newer Android Kit Kat (4.4.2).

Those wanting to update their respective Mi 3’s can do so by going to Setting>About Phone>System Update. You will notice that there are two options, and you can choose the highlighted one as I showed below.
MiUI update
To be honest, even the older version of MiUI was simply awesome, and I can’t imaging what the new version has in store.

If you want to know more about the Mi 3, read on my personal review here. If you already have one, happy updating your OS.

[Update 6:20PM 22/7/2014] – Been using the new ROM since 3PM. No problems detected. Calls go on smoothly, and camera performs well. No lags, and just pure smoothness.
