Maxis has decided to remove the SMS and call cap it previously had on the OnePlan, hence making the package more attractive to consumers who find themselves calling and SMS-ing frequently. Previously, there was a 3000 SMS and 3000 minute call cap for the OnePlan.
According to Maxis during their official OnePlan launch in Kuching today, the OnePlan will ensure its users that there is no extra shock in their bills as everything is clear, with those exceeding the data cap allocated allowed to use basic internet at 64kbps. Maxis notes that 64kbps is good enough to communicate using the internet, which includes WhatsApp and other popular chatting features.
Aside from new details about the OnePlan, Maxis also revealed that they have a few new devices which come cheaper with the plan which include the ̧Sony Xperia Z2, Sony Xperia M2, Xiaomi Mi3, and the HTC Desire 816. The Huawei Y530, HTC Desire 310, Huawei Y330 and Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 also come for free if one was to sign up for the OnePlan.
Maxis further elaborated that they will be working on a new tablet plan since tablets are gaining more popularity nowadays, while admitting that they are now having a ‘transforming year’ to improve their services.
After the event, representatives from Maxis also admitted that they are looking at improving their customer experience with their telco, while stating that such move is vital in this era.
