KUALA LUMPUR – A dream Malaysian Open badminton final is out as China hot shot Lin Dan crashed out of the tournament, while Malaysia’s Datuk Lee Chong Wei advanced in style.  Chong Wei was obviously on form as he wasted no time to trash Japan’s Kazushi Yamada 21-8, 21-18 in only 37 minutes.  Chong Wei ranks 1st in the world badminton rankings

World No 2, Lin Dan however struggled and eventually lost to Denmark’s Jan O Jorgensen 21-14, 15-21, 15-21 in 58 minutes.

The defeat of rival Lin Dan means that Chong Wei is more than assured to win the 8th Malaysian Open title.  In the Korean Open, Chong Wei was superb as he beat Lin Dan to clinch the first Super Series title in 2012.
