The Kuching City North Commission (DBKU) has every intention to make Kuching a ‘city with a soul’. According to a news report carried by The Borneo Post, DBKU intends to achieve its vision which is ‘Kuching – a vibrant liveable city of choice’.

Datuk Bandar Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai said that there are a three main things which will make Kuching a liveable city, namely physical, social and economic environment, and all these components have been entrusted into DBKU for the year 2012. DBKU has also set up a new division named the Community Relations and Development Division which would help foster closer ties with the people and to get them involved with DBKUs activities.

Kuching is the largest state in Sarawak and has been said to be one of the cleanest cities in Asia.
