The very first “Photography with Impact” seminar was successfully held 3 months ago on 11 February 2012. Due to the positive responds from participants, the Alvin Leong Academy of Photography has scheduled for a second session this coming Saturday 12 May 2012.

The programme will be held at the Islamic Information Centre along Jalan Ong Tiang Swee from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

“Photography with Impact 2” will feature experienced instructors from the Alvin Leong Academy of Photography, namely Malaysian photographer Mr. Charles Kung and Scottish photographer Mr. Gerry Fox.

The seminar themed “Photography Unfolded” will see both speakers sharing with participants on the ideas to capture impressive photojournalistic photographs.

An experienced travel photographer and senior instructor of the Academy, Charles Kung has always believed that the best photographs are which viewers can relate their feelings to it.

During his session entitled “A Photojournalistic Journey”, Charles will share with attendees on the ways to include photojournalistic “essence” to photographs.

Photography for Impact 2 will also feature Scottish photographer Gerry Fox. With years of teaching and commercial photography experience in Scotland and United Kingdom, Gerry is still very enthusiastic about photojournalistic portraits. During his session, Gerry will conduct a live demo on capturing environmental portraits utilizing available and artificial lights during his session.

Alvin Leong whom is the founder of the academy said that team has plans to conduct several different episodes through out the year in cities such as Kuching, Kuala Lumpur and Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei.

This programme is suited for photography enthusiasts who are beginners or have basic to knowledge in the medium. Any one can participate in the programme at reasonable admission fee of RM10 per student and RM15 per adult.
