Hitz Kuching and MyFM Kuching both polled first place by Nielsen’s Radio Listenership Survey (Kota Kinabalu & Kuching) 2012 with Hitz Kuching garnering 145,100 listeners and MyFM coming in with 76,400 listeners each week, and hence making them the most preferred radio station in their respective languages in the city.

The survey also saw ERA FM Kuching coming strong with a total of 121,300 listeners each week,with over 55% being those below the age of 30.

AMP Radio Networks’ Executive Director Dato’ Borhanuddin Osman was a happy man with the results as he said “We came to both cities (Kota Kinabalu and Kuching) to serve the people, in providing them with the best of radio, and it is clear from the result that we are on the right path. AMP Radio Networks operates all three radio stations locally, proving Kuching and Kota Kinabalu much room to introduce their own local content. All three stations have also been actively engaging the locals with one of the biggest partnership being their involvement with Sarawak Bloggers Tweet-Up Kuching 2011.
