Malaysian paralympic archer Hasihin Sanawi has made the country proud by winning a silver medal at the London Paralympic Games.

Hasihin was edged out by Italy’s Oscar de Pellegrin in a nail-biting shoot-off after both were tied 5-5 in the men’s individual recurve W1/W2 final at the Royal Artillery Barracks near London.

It was also Malaysia’s first medal at the London Paralympics.

Malaysia is represented by 23 athletes at the games, and is competing in eight sports, namely archery, athletics, cycling, table tennis, powerlifting, swimming, wheelchair fencing and sailing.
