The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) today invited B40 households and the disabled to register themselves to get a free MyFreeView decoder.
The invitation is extended to those that have not obtained the free decoders previously.
These decoders are used to access MyFreeview’s digital TV platform which is provided for free across Malaysia.
It has 15 HD channels and is free of charge.
According to MCMC, some 157,276 individuals from the B40 and disabled group had already registered their interest to obtain the decoders.
These individuals will have their decoders sent via courier services beginning June 1.
Those unsure if they fall into the two categories can check with their status by calling MYTV Careline at 1800-18-1088/1-300-80-6988 or visiting www.mytvbroadcasting.my/B40.
The closing date to apply for the free decoder is 31 May 2020.
