Those of you who have your computers infected by malware can rejoice because the popular social media site Facebook has decided to lend you a hand.

According to TNW, the news was revealed on Tuesday, in which Facebook has added free downloads of anti-malware software to its abuse detection and prevention systems for users with infected devices.

F-Secure and Trend Micro are the service providers of the free service, and Facebook will recommend one of them based on the type of malware it detects.

Apparently, users who are already infected by malware will see a popup notification when they sign on Facebook. Upon clicking ‘download’, the app will install itself, clean the malware, and uninstall itself automatically.

The service is now only available for Windows users.
