A service known as Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) will be set up as a one-stop centre to monitor, oversee and coordinate the promotion and marketing of Malaysia’s higher education, and recruitment of and support services for international students.

According to Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, all matters pertaining to the establishment of the wholly-owned entity of the ministry had been finalised and the board of directors had met to enable the centre to begin its operations.

He further elaborated that EMGS would also work as a window to the processing of all the students’ needs such as visas as confirmed that EMGS would also oversee the needs of foreign students at international schools and training and skills training institutes under the Human Resource Ministry.
