Social Media users are more than familiar with the DiGi WWWOW Awards, and they are back this time around with social media users asked to nominate themselves for a grand prize of RM10,000.
The WWWOW Awards was previously more or less a popularity contest with nominees asked to fish votes from their followers in order to win. The finalist then, were evaluated by a panel of judges for the winner.
DiGi however revamped the award in 2014 to make it more difficult to win with finalist asked to pitch for the win.
This time around, DiGi continues with such mechanism with the ‘pitching’ part somewhat ‘hidden’ in the competition details. You can however find out about it in the ‘FAQ’ section.
The ‘popularity contest’ is also back, but only for one category, namely the ‘People’s Choice Award’. Aside from that all other categories will be judged by a panel of judges, in which the best five will need to pitch their ideas to win the award.
If you are interested to be part of the award, social media users now can simply nominate themselves until 12 Oct 2015.
The finalist will be announced at 20 November 2015 at the awards night.
