The Public Service Department (PSD) has been urged by CUEPACS to issue the circular on the new salary adjustments for the new Malaysian Remuneration System (SSM) as soon as possible, preferably by the end of March.

The move is hoped to allow ministries, departments and agencies under the government to pay the adjusted salaries by next month.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak announced the scrapping of the Public Service New Remuneration Scheme (SBPA) on February 8th, with the reintroduction of a much-improved SSM.

The move has been welcomed by many as CUEPACS members were not happy with the vast difference in pay under the suggested SBPA.
