The 7th edition of Borneo Jazz has just ended and the festival organiser, Sarawak Tourism Board has noted tremendous response towards the festival this year.

Attendance has definitely increased over the previous year, with 8,201 festival goers recorded compared to 7,811 in 2011, with the number of visitors from outside Sarawak have also increased. The Board is confident that this trend will continue in the coming years and that it will be one of the leading Jazz events in the region.

Reports from visiting media representatives including bloggers from Sarawak Bloggers also commended the festival as being the best in the region given its unique setting and ambience and its choice of bands.

The Ambassador for the Republic of Germany to Malaysia, Dr Guenter Gruber and his wife Dr Volker Wolf and the Dutch Ambassador Mr Paul Bekkers were among those who came for the festival.

Sarawak Tourism Board has also extended a sincere appreciation to thank all parties involved in the festival organising this year, including friends of the media and bloggers for their participation and contribution.
