ASM Investment Services Bhd (ASM Investment) has declared 1.50 sen nett income distribution for Amanah Saham Pekerja-pekerja Tenaga Nasional Bhd (ASPTNB) for the year ended Aug 30, 2012.

The distribution represents 4.21 per cent yield on its net asset value (NAV) per unit of RM0.3598 as at the beginning of the financial year.

During the period under review, the fund’s NAV appreciated by 10.65 per cent, it said in a statement.

ASM Investment said the fund’s objective was to provide investors with a steady income and capital growth over the medium-to-long-term.

The fund also offers free takaful (Islamic insurance) coverage to eligible investors based on the minimum NAV investment holding of RM1,000 to a maximum coverage of RM200,000.

The fund is managed by ASM Investment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Bhd, a pioneer in Malaysia’s unit trust management industry.
