Those arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may have to wait longer to meet their love ones outside the arrival hall as the Customs are going to need more time to check them.

The move is taken to enable Customs officers to do a through check on passengers disembarking at KLIA with drugs and illegal substances the main target.

According to Customs Department assistant director-general Datuk Zainul Abidin Taib, there is a possibility that passengers may need to line up for the inspection, and the whole process may take an hour.
