Google looks more than set to introduce the Andoid Tv in the coming I/O developers conference, which many believe would replace the current Google TV.
According to Techcrunch, the TV is not a specific piece fo hardware, but rather a software effort which will work with partners including LH and others. This is something like what is happening to the Android OS which is shared along numerous brands worldwide.
It is highly believed that the Android TV platform will focus on bringing online media services to televisions, as well as Android-based gaming, rather than concentrate on the ‘apps for TV’ angle which Google TV is focusing on.
To know more what the whole ‘Android TV’ concept is about, we have to wait and see what will be revealed in the coming I/O developers conference.
