Altel may have been noticed in Kuching lately, but many are still skeptical about how good is this new Mobile virtual network operator (MNVO) is as they are still new in Kuching.
Well, a good friend of us, Rodz, tested the telco’s internet services and was largely impressed with its lightning speed internet as he forwarded us his speed test results in several areas. He added that he has however not been able to get 4G speed in the Kuching city centre, and that both test results were in BDC area.
According to Rodz, the speed of Altel might be due to the fact that it is still less popular and less congested. He also said that by comparison to Hotlink, Altel is cheaper by RM2 which is still savings when you consider that petrol prices have gone up recently.
Altel which rides on Celcom’s network, also has a service centre here in Kuching and is said to keen to roll our their postpaid services in the coming year. Their prepaid packages are seen in our previous post about Altel here.
