Sarawak police have formed a special task force to investigate the link on three murder cases which occurred in the state over the last seven months, the state police commissioner, Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said here, today.
He said the task force, which would meet here today, would try to piece up all evidence to determine whether the cases, where all the victims were shot in a gangland style attack, were related.
Acryl Sani said the investigation would also be expanded to cover both the victims’ personal and business involvements.
“We are calling for witnesses, not only just those who are at the scenes but beyond the perimeters who might have heard or have information that could lead us to identify the perpetrators to come forward to assist us,” he said.
He urged the public not to be concern over the overall safety in the state as the criminals involved in the murders were seemingly having specific targets and were not attacking at random.
