SMK Suai Miri students get 1Malaysia netbooks

Some 436 students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Suai Miri received their 1Malaysia netbooks today from the government.

Students receiving the netbook were very excited with many stating they can’t wait to start using the netbook to enhance their studies and look for information via the internet.

The netbooks was given out by YB Ahmad Lai Bujang.

The 1Malaysia Netbook project is an initiation by the government to enhance the use of IT among Malaysians particularly students.

It is understood that all the netbooks come with a special optional broadband package, in which student pay a lower rate for such services.
