Proton Edar has clarified that the red Proton Prevé shared on social media, including Facebook and Twitter was caused by an accident.
According to a brief statement on their official page, Proton Edar say that “At around 4.45pm yesterday, one of our sales advisors was involved in an accident while driving from Jalan Sentul towards Jalan Pahang in KL, when the Proton Prevé that he was driving hit a divider and landed awkwardly causing the lower arm to break.”
They further reported that the sales advisor was unhurt, but their test unit was damage, hence captured in such an awkward position.
The Prevé is Proton’s latest addition to their line, and is slated as one of the best cars ever produced by Proton with the car manufacturer looking at exporting the car to numerous other countries.
It’s classy and dashing image of the car was however short lived after it’s launch last week when a photo (pic) surfaced on the internet showing a red test drive unit damaged hence making many mock the car maker for it’s lack of quality.
The Prevé comes at a starting price of RM59,540.
