After three years of hiatus, the Penang World Music Festival (PWMF) returns with more excitement than before. The festival which is the Penang version of the popular Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) is set to be held at picturesque Quarry Recreational Park, Botanic Gardens from March 30 to April 1, 2012.
This time around, 18 performers from Africa, Australia, Philippines, Colombia, South Korea, Russia, Mongolia, and Bali are set to rock Penang with their fusion of music. Malaysia will be represented by Aseana Percussion Unit, Didit Dinai (photo), Penang Dhol Blasters, Kumpulan Minang Moh and Geng Wak Long.
Those interested can obtain their tickets online at http://www.ticketxpress.com.my. Tickets are priced at RM90 per day for adult and RM45 per day for a child between five and 12 years old. Three-day tickets are also available and are priced at RM220 each for adult and RM120 each for child.
