Lee Chong Wei defeated in Indian Open

Lee Chong Wei was defeated by World No. 17 Shon Wan-Ho of South Korea in the finals of the Indian Open today.

He out staged Lee Chong Wei 21-18, 14-21, 21-19 to win the men’s singles title hence somewhat denting Chong Wei confidence before the 2012 London Olympics.

This was the unheralded South Korean’s first BWF Super Series title.

The match lasted slightly more than an hour and was Chong Wei’s first defeat at the hands of Wan-ho in five encounters.
