The newly established Sarawak Workers Party (SWP) President has been elected today during it’s inaugural annual general meeting.
The new president was none other than Datuk Larry Sng, whom hails from Kapit. Datuk Larry confirmed the news via his Facebook update when he said “1st AGM of Sarawak Workers Party has concluded and I was elected as its President.”
SWP is the latest local based opposition party in the state.
Pelagus state assemblyman George Lagong, who won as an independent in the last state election, is part of the newly formed party, was also elected the party’s deputy president.
