This year’s festival is set to be at Kala Dana Beach from April 21 to 29.

Pesta Kaul is a Melanau animistic celebration which is held for purification and thanksgiving to appease the spirits of the sea, land, forests and farm. The festival now is done for cultural purposes as modern Melanaus are either Christians or Muslims.
