Italy was powerless to stop Spain from creating history when the succumbed to a 4-0 defeat in the EURO Finals early this morning.
The impressive Spinards awed the gusty Italians as they produced countless moments of magic with their pin-point passing around the pitch and that somewhat helped them secure the lead as early as the 18th minute when Iniesta scrambled a pass through to Fabregas who crosses the ball from an acute angle to David Silva, whom without a mistake heads it to the right top corner for the Spanish to lead.
Before half time, Jordi Alba scored again for Spain as he produced a sensational run down the left after playing-out one-two with Xavi Alonso. Xavi without hesitation pushed a ball forward to Alba whom wasted no time to races past three Italian defenders with the ball before thundering a shoot past a hapless Buffon.
The second half saw Italy trying to fight back through Di Natale. However, the Spinards yet again proved their attack was sharper than the Italians when Fernando Torres scores for Spain after De Rossi gave away the ball away inside his own half, only to have Xavi takes advantage and pass it to Torres whom made no mistake to put it into the bottom left-hand corner.
With the EURO 2012 title confirmed going to Spain, Juan Mata registered yet another goal for Spain in the dying minutes of the game, sealing Spain as the only European team to have won the tournament twice in a row.
