Crocs slapped again: Eight months ban for FAS Deputy President

The Crocs got yet another blow to their Malaysian Super League campaign after their Deputy President Mohd Abu Bakar Marzuki was banned for eight months following his criticism of the Malaysian Football Association (FAM).

It was reported by local dailies that Abu Bakar was slapped with the ban after he criticised FAM over the decision to heftily fine the Sarawak Football Association (FAS) and force four home games to be played behind closed doors.

Abu Bakar was also asked to pay RM8,000 in addition to the eight month ban.

The latest incident will no doubt sour relations between FAM and FAS, with national integration between Sarawak and the peninsular moving towards an even more thinner line than before.  Some fans have also requested that Prime Minister Najib Razak intervene in the situation, but such hope seems very much unlikely.

Sarawak play Kuala Lumpur today.
