Concrete road for Long Jegan

Villagers of Long Jegan in Tinjar, Baram now have a new RM200,000 concrete road.

Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Jacob Dungau Sagan officially opened the road last Thursday.

He pointed out that in Long Jegan alone, the government has spent nearly half a million ringgit on rural projects including a futsal court, building materials for the church and 1Malaysia water tanks.

During the function Jacob Dungau also presented minor rural project grants to the SK Long Jegan parent-teacher association (RM20,000), Long Jegan Church (RM10,000), Women’s Bureau (RM5,000) and Long Jegan village security and development committee (RM5,000).

Among those present were Robert Laing Anyie — a political secretary to the Chief Minister, Penghulu Petrick Jeleman Tangga, Temenggong Pahang Deng Anyie, Penghulu Herbert Lawai Epoi, and Penghulu Nyadang Rengkang.
