ADUN apologizes for remarks about Chong Wei

Kota Alam Shah state assemblyman M Manoharan has tweeted an appology about his recent tweets about national shuttler Lee Chong Wei.

He tweeted “I deeply regret the comments I have made and tender my heartfelt apologies to Dato’ Lee Chong Wei and his family,” he said from his twitter account @mmanoADUN on Tuesday afternoon.

He further tweeted “I sincerely hope my apology will be accepted.”

The assemblyman from DAP recently criticized Chong Wei for the silver medal he won, and asked Prime Minister Najib Razak to offer the monetary rewards promised to the Malaysian shuttler to be handed to Lin Dan instead.

He however didn’t say or tweet anything in regards to his earlier tweet that suggest Malaysia will win it’s first gold medal if Pakatan Rakyat won Putrajaya in the coming elections.
